Easter Egg Hunt

Jacksonville Beach had an Easter Egg Hunt today at the park down the street from our house. The girls both had lots of fun. Brooke was a pro at picking up eggs. Holly didn't get too many because she wanted to open each one and eat the candy - so she wasted lots of valuable egg collecting time! She wasn't real sure if she liked the Easter Bunny.

Swimming Lessons

Brooke and Holly started their swimming lessons yesterday. This is Holly's 5th year (she's been doing it since she was 10 months old) and she swims very well. The instructor is going to try and teach her strokes. Brooke did the Infant Swim program last year and doesn't like it any better this year. I think you can probably hear her screaming three blocks over. She is actually doing really good but she screams "Get out!" or "cookie" the whole time.

Anne & Allison came over to play today and Holly had a great time. They showed her how to whiz around on a scooter! She showed them how to eat a popsicle in less than a minute. :) She was still talking about them when she went to bed tonite.

Swimming season is here!

Yay! We love when it's warm enough to swim! It's a great way to wear the girls out! Holly jumped right in before I could even get her suit on. Brooke walked around the pool for a few minutes and then got in. Needless to say - they both got pool baths tonight :)

Construction

We are enclosing half of our porch so that we can make that our office and it's a mess. Most of the mess is outside so that is a relief. Simon the cat is probably the most put out...he hides til about 8 p.m. every night until the coast is clear. The port-a-potty & dumpster look really swell in our yard :)

Hands on Children's Museum

Today Holly, Brooke and I went to the Children's museum. Holly has been out of school all week for spring break. They both had a great time but it was a little difficult trying to keep an eye on both of them since they both wanted to play in different areas. They got to pretend to grocery shop, play bank, cook food and all sorts of fun stuff.

Visit to the zoo

We went to the zoo today and everyone had a blast. Holly got to feed the parrots (they would climb right on her arm) and she LOVED that. Brooke was in heaven just running all over the place.

Dr. Suess Day

Today they had a big Dr. Suess "Cat in the Hat" birthday party at the beach library. I took Holly & Reid & they had a blast. They got to ride a train, get on a fire engine, listen to a story & do arts and crafts.Sitting on the Fire Engine
