Trick or Treat!

We went out trick-or-treating a little earlier this year because Holly had been up since 5:30 a.m. She made it until about 6:30 p.m. & started to have a meltdown. Brooke had a blast. I think she could've gone on for hours. She got the hang of it pretty quick & ate almost as much as she got!

....so then she had to carry it like this & kept spilling everything We had to go by and pick up Mr. Power Ranger & Cinderella (Reid & Laney)Holly was MUCH happier handing out candy. Every time the doorbell would ring she'd yell "The kids are here!"

If you ask Bop what she was for Halloween she would say "I am Snow White and I am just so beautiful!"

School Halloween party

Holly got to wear her costume to school today. They had a little Halloween "show" where they sang four songs and then paraded around the school in their costumes. They were so cute!

My Gym Halloween

The girls got to dress up in costumes for their My Gym classes this week. I didn't want them to wreck their actual Halloween costumes so we improvised. Holly went as a "Flapper" And Bop went as a princess (shocker!).

The Pumpkin Patch

After 3 - yes 3 - visits to the pumpkin patch, I still couldn't get Brooke to look at me and smile for a picture so I gave up. We now have about 10 pumpkins laying around our house since I felt like we had to buy one (or two) every time we went. :)

Holly's actual birthday

We went out for Japanese food on Monday for Holly's actual birthday with Grandma & Grandpa. After we got home, her buddies Laney & Reid came over for some cupcakes.

Grandma & Grandpa Brue came to visit from Nebraska & the girls had a great time. Holly really enjoyed having them here for her birthday. After they left she said "Holly is very sad!" Grandpa Brue bought Holly & Brooke a pumpkin & carved it with Holly. She thought that was pretty cool.She's like her Dad - good at dictating & supervising.


We walked out on the pier after going out to eat.
