Circus

We went to the Shriner Circus and the girls didn't seem to like it as much as they did last year. Brooke freaked out when she saw the clowns. Once the cotton candy was gone, they were done...which was fine by me - we didn't have to wait in the long lines leaving the place.

Saturday afternoon Brooke an I were swimming in the pool while Holly & Daddy were inside. "Someone" was too busy watching the football game to realize that Holly was in the bathroom trying to play hair-stylist. I came in from swimming to find all this hair on the floor & freaked out. It's a good thing Holly has a boat-load of hair because you really can't tell too much.

Making the most of these HOT days....

We went to the water park Saturday with Amy & the girls & it was smoking hot outside. Holly went on every waterslide except the biggest one which was amazing...she's usually pretty conservative! She was with Amy & the other girl's and I was on the other side of the park with Brooke, so I guess she'll be brave when her Mom isn't around. Brooke just ate up all the attention that Anne & her friend Carly gave her.

Brooke's first day of school! :)

Brooke was very excited to go to school today. She was ready to go with her backpack by 8:00 a.m. When we got to school, she was running in the gate & smacked her face on the gate latch & tears were flowing. I had to peel her off of my leg to leave & wasn't sure if she was going to make it all day but she did. Her teacher said she had a great day.

After school she immediately had to show me what she made in class today. They had a little boy's birthday party & all got cowboy hats & bandanas.

Brooke's first dance class

Brooke had her first dance class yesterday. SHe was so excited & did really good for the first half of class, then I think she saw me in the window & it all went downhill from there. There were a few tears & then she sat in the teacher's lap for the rest of the class. When we got home she told me "I am not going to cry at dance class anymore!" We shall see.... :)
